Rotator Cuff Repair

While surgical techniques for rotator cuff repairs have progressed, factors such as poor tissue quality, large and massive tears, and the age of the patient has significant impact on the outcome. Repair of the rotator cuff requires reattachment of the rotator cuff tendon back to the humerus. In order to improve clinical outcomes and avoid re-rupture, tissue reinforcement is sought to create a stronger repair.
