Pectoralis Reinforcement

The pectoralis major muscle is a powerful muscle that attaches to the humerus. It’s responsible for moving the shoulder forwards and across the chest. Pectoralis major ruptures are uncommon injuries that occur almost exclusively in men. Surgery, whether early or delayed consists of reattaching the pectoralis tendon back to the humerus through an open procedure that requires bone tunnels with high strength suture and or anchors.
